The Bloody Inn Card Game

If someone suggests you should spend a night at The Bloody Inn, you should think twice! Some of the guests leave this inn inside of a body bag...

The Bloody Inn is a card game by Pearl Games, with a macabre yet tongue-in-cheek theme. Up to four players are greedy farmers that run a 19th century inn, within a sleepy, remote French village. Your aim? Get rich by killing the guests, and then looting them before burying the evidence! But look out: the local police have heard suspicious activity around your establishment. If any of them survive the night, they'll start sniffing around and you'll have to buy your way out of trouble...

The main board is the 'bloody' inn itself, with each player having a stake (pun sort-of intended) in a room, each. At the start of each round (night), guest cards enter the rooms. These cards have a cost attributed to them, for taking a variety of different actions. You'll need to juggle your hand management skills if you want to become a bloodthirsty landlord!

Talking of which, players get to take two actions of their choice on their turn. You can bribe guests to join your gruesome enterprise, where the card enters your hand. Some provide discounts, or other benefits. You can build an annex (playing a card from your hand; you can now bury a body underneath this building!) You can kill a guest, in which you move one of the guests from the rooms to your tableau.

You can bury the body, where you place a killed guest from your tableau underneath an annex. When you do this action, you gain the money that guest had in their pockets, as stated on the card. Remember, the player with the most money wins this game! You can only hold so much blood-stained cash at once.

The final choice of actions is to launder your money, where you exchange it for clean francs. The game ends once you've cycled through the deck twice. At that stage, you count up who has the most cash - clean and laundered. The richest player wins The Bloody Inn!
